Let me start out with wow, omg I absolutely LOVE printmaking! Ok, now that I have that out of my system, let’s talk about the basics of printmaking, specifically about linoleum blocks. Each of my pieces are created by hand carving into linoleum, a thick cork-like material. I then roll speedball ink onto the carved block, et viola, I am able to transfer my design onto any surface. Carving different designs into linoleum blocks is honestly one of my favorite things to do. Just put on an audiobook, grab some iced coffee and I am ready to conquer a long carving session in the studio!
